UK Youth for Nature is the UK’s growing movement calling for urgent action to tackle the nature crisis. 2020 is one of the most important years for the environment in decades – there will be 5 major United Nations environmental conferences on oceans, biodiversity, sustainable development and climate change.
But nature is in crisis – globally, 1 million species are on course to extinction and in the UK 41% of wildlife has declined in recent decades.
We need the governments of the UK countries to take urgent action to help nature. And we need the next UK Prime Minister to deliver ambitious promises on the world stage, and to keep these promises back home. Our natural environment and wildlife are in crisis and the time to act is now.
We’re the growing movement putting increasing pressure on the governments in the UK countries to help nature. Right now, we’re looking for two key members to join our team and help us deliver this mission in 2020.
For both of these roles you will need to:
Be aged 16-30
Be able to commit to doing them for at least 6 months
Be able to spend at least 3 hours per week on them
In return you’ll get:
To meet amazing young campaigners between 16-30
Access to training on key skills like campaigning, media and communications
