The environment is a devolved issue, it is under the control of national governments. Therefore you need to contact your own local representative so you can be sure they know the specific rules/regulations of the area.

- If you live in Scotland, this is your local MSP (Member of Scottish Parliament)
- If you live in Wales, this is your local MS (Member of Senedd)
- If you live in Northern Ireland, this is your local MLA (Members of the Legislative Assembly)

Find out who your local representative is by going to https://www.writetothem.com/ and typing in your postcode. This will give you the name of your local representative (MP, MSP, MS or MLA) and their political party.
The next step is to write your letter.
Luckily, we have created templates for you to use. In these template letters, you can choose to edit or remove any sections you want as well as add any relevant information. These are simply to give you a starting point to address certain issues.
The sections highlighted in green are those where specific details are required e.g. your name, the name of your representative etc.

After finding your representative on https://www.writetothem.com/, click on their name to take you to a space where you can copy and paste the letter and input the relevant information.
